Learn how to build native applications for the iPhone and iPad using
the iOS 7 SDK. Simon Allardice shows you how to work with Xcode 5, the
most popular framework for developing, debugging, and deploying
applications to Apple devices, and Objective-C, the language you’ll use
to actually program your app. Apart from the tools and language, you’ll
explore design patterns, coding conventions and guidelines, and
essential concepts like Model-View-Controller, storyboards, and
delegation. Plus, learn what’s possible within the new iOS 7 interface,
and get a checklist for successfully submitting your app to the App
Store.

iPhone ASP.NET Fundamentals
The iPhone’s rich user interface and platform features provide for the
creation of applications that are compelling to both users and
developers. Although commonly thought to be available only to native
applications, the most common user interface and platform features are
also available to iPhone and iPod Touch web applications. In this course
you will learn how to apply your existing ASP.NET skills to create
iPhone web applications that capitalize on the rich capabilities of the
iPhone platform while maintaining all of the management and deployment
benefits of the web. Topic coverage includes iPhone user interface
techniques, GPS and location-aware capabilities, creating web
applications that look and behave as native applications, offline
application support, and the iPhone User Interface (iUI) open source
framework.

iPhone and iOS 5 Advanced App Development: Learn by Video
Following the recent release of iOS 5, there are a number of exciting new opportunities open for the iOS developer: Twitter integration, iCloud, new ways to easily customize the look of your apps, and storyboards, just to name a few. In addition to covering these new iOS 5 features and the techniques required to integrate them into your iOS apps, this course will also look into how to improve the performance of your apps, use blocks to simplify your code, and implement support for audio and sound effects in your apps. You will also learn how the new UIAppearance library can be used to customize the appearance of standard iOS UI features and controls. This Learn by Video workshop is presented by Robert Turrall and published in partnership with Peachpit Press.
